Many chambers have been in service for a long time but modern apparatus is working at ever increasing frequencies, where microwave testing was once for special applications now it is common place and the new EMC standards address 1GHz+ frequencies.


A ferrite only chamber does not have the measurement accuracy to operate above 1GHz.
